Syria: A Theraputic Strike?

In 2007 then Senator Obam said “The president does not have the power under the constitution to unilaterally authorize a military attack in a situation that does not involve stopping an actual imminent threat to the nation” in response to Bush’s decision to go into Iraq. Sen. Joe Biden echoed that sentiment that same year saying he would call for a president’s impeachment if that were to happen. Therefore if we are to go by their words what they are doing is unconstitutional.
The left criticized Bush to no end for going into Iraq and Afghanistan. Now it is the right who is criticizing the left and Obama for Syria. The fighting in Syria has been going on for 30 months with 100,000 dead. If they were so interested in helping out they should have gone in then and not now. Maybe more lives might have been saved. Obama wants UN approval to have strikes in Syria when lawmakers are saying he should be going to congress first as they have the power to declare war. Bush went to congress first for Iraq and got approval, but then again since when does Obama go by the constitution anyway.
The problem with Syria will be exactly like Egypt where we helped push out a pro-American leader with Mubarek who at least honored the peace with Isreal and replaced him with Morsi and the muslim brotherhood. If they overthrow Assad, a radical muslim leadership will no doubt take over and our alley in Isreal will be at greater risk of being annihilated. By supporting the rebels we are supporting Al Queda who make up seven out of ten factions of the rebels. Our air force would become their air force. Obama said any attack would only last hours and not days but by helping the rebels Obama will be helping Al Queda get in power there. By bombing Syria Obama can say he held up his end of the threat. Who’s side is he on anyway? He didn’t help our ambassador and embassy people in Benghazi when they called for help and the muslims took over and now he will be helping Al Queda. Never forget his famous words “I will support the muslims if the winds take a different direction” and that’s just what he is doing. He’s supporting radical muslims. Because of his weak leadership, our allies don’t trust us and enemies don’t fear us.  China, Japan and Great Britain as well as others are looking on him as irrelevant.
John Kerry gave a public speech condemning the gassing of civilians and in great detail  calling what is going on in Syria “a moral obscenity.” If you listen to it and listen to his anti-Vietnam speech before congress in 1968 they are eerily similar.
It is not sure who really used gas the rebels or Assad. Assad says the rebels are using it because why would he use gas where his troops are and we say it is Assad doing it.

Failure awaits the United States as in all previous wars it has unleashed, starting with Vietnam and up to the present day,” the Syrian President told the pro-Kremlin Izvestia newspaper in an interview published on Monday, which the Russian daily said was conducted in Damascus.

Mr Assad said Syrian government forces had been close to the area, in suburbs of Damascus, where rebel forces accused his troops of firing poison gas projectiles last week, and there was no clear front line there.

“Would any state use chemical or any other weapons of mass destruction in a place where its own forces are concentrated? That would go against elementary logic,” Mr Assad told Izvestia. “So, accusations of this kind are entirely political and the reason for them is the government forces’ series of victories over the terrorists,” he said, referring to rebels fighting in the two-year-old civil war.

During the Iraq war I remember reading that Saddam shipped his WMD’s out to Syria during and before the war which included nerve gas. This is where Assad is getting it from. As a quote from a responder to an article I saw said, “From what I see, the events of the world are simply happening too fast for Mr. Obama to cope. Add to that his naive ideological outlook, and we are seeing a foreign policy train wreck in process.”  We need strength in leadership  where we have none now.

Why No Outrage? Are We Becoming Too Jaded Or Is It Racial Hypocrisy?

When Grorge  Zimmerman, a Hispanic  man shot and killed Travon Martin, a black  youth in self defense (and I sincerely believe  it was self defense when someone bigger than him punched him in the nose and pounded his head in the sidewalk on top of him saying  “you’re going to die tonite”} immediately race baiters like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson and others flooded the airways with cries of racism and whites got blamed. Since then black on white crime has increased. In fact, during the trial there was over 100 cases of black on black crimes in Chicago alone.

Most recently we have the case in Oklahoma where black youths killed an innocent aspiring baseball athlete from Australia by shooting him in the back because “they were bored” they said. There is also strong suspicion that this was also a gang initiation since the one who did the shooting was an aspiring Crips member and their initiation is to kill someone or else they will be killed.

Next we have the 88 year old WW11 veteran who fought courageously and bravely in Okinowa who was killed by two black teens because they too were bored and just for the fun of it. In both these cases there was no cries of racism and no outrage, Jesse Jackson said  the case with the jogger should be frowned upon and Al Sharpton said it wasn’t racism because the system worked since the police were called and the kids were caught.

The Rev. Jesse Jackson Sr. spoke out on Wednesday about the “senseless” shooting death of a white Australian athlete by two black teenagers and one white teenager in Oklahoma.

“Praying for the family of Chris Lane,” Jackson said Wednesday on Twitter. “This senseless violence is frowned upon and the justice system must prevail.”

Jackson’s comments come after a number of commentators ask why the black leaders who were outspoken during the aftermath of the Trayvon Martin shooting were silent on the circumstances surrounding Lane’s murder.

This is all pure BS. The kid involved in the shooting had racial remarks on his facebook page saying how he hates whites and bragged about all the whites he had beaten. In other words it’s more liberal racist hypocrisy. If a white person is involved with killing or harming a black person it’s racist, but if a black person is involved in killing a white person it is just frowned upon. This is utterly preposterous.

In the case of the Boston bomber we had a Russian kid who turned to radical Islam with his brother and killed and maimed other innocent young bystanders and his face is plastered on Rolling Stone magazine like some rock star and girls swooned all over him forming groups demanding he be freed.

I blame a lot of this kind of thinking on a lack of good parenting and too much free time. Many of these kids are lost in life and don’t know who their real parents are and parents don’t know where their kids are half the time or who they are hanging out with.

During the Trayvon Martin case Obama stepped in saying if he had a son he would look like Trayvon. Now when asked about this case his deputy press secretary said they weren’t aware of the case even though it had been all over the news for four days already. I guess Obama was too busy conveniently playing golf on Martha’s Vineyard to notice anything was going on.

Buchanan: ‘Interracial violence is overwhelmingly black-on-white’…

SHARPTON: ‘System worked’…

Is racist dimension of the crime being discounted?

WWII vet, 88, beaten to death by black teens…

Beat him with flashlights…

Black unemployment twice rate of white unemployment under Obama… *

Wild West City in Netcong, N.J.

When I was growing up in the late 50’s and early 60’s my parents took me to Wild West City located in Netcong, N.J. Wild West City is a re-creation of an old western town with cowboy re-enactments in the street. Now 55 years later it is still there and hasn’t changed a bit. I couldn’t believe it. It was literally like stepping back into time. My time and  the old western town’s time. We took our grand nephew there this past week-end and it is still a fun time for the whole family.

Wild West City is modeled after Dodge City and first opened in 1957.There are gunfights in the center of town, bank robberies by the James Gang, Doc Holiday keeps law and order with shoot-outs with bad guys in the street, you can witness the famous Gunfight at OK  Corral where Wyatt Earp confronts  Ben Thompson, see can-can girls perform (or as my wife smiling sarcastically says, “I wonder if they are saying “I can’t believe my mother is making me do this,” :D), ride stagecoaches and trains that get held up by bandits (all in good fun of course) and have  a great time. The sheriff rounds up all the kids and deputizes them to go after various bad guys. The kids use cap guns of course and it all is in good, clean fun. There are shows approximately every 15 minutes.

When we were on the stagecoach I said to my wife, ”If they hold us up just say we’re illegals trying to sneak across the border and have no money.” 😀 to which she replied, “Everyone was illegal  in those days.” 😀 Unfortunately we had the last ride of the day and only one lame bandit held us up and didn’t say much except exchange few words to our nephew who was sitting on top with the driver while we were inside the coach.

There is also a petting zoo and a mini golf course and a stream where you can pan for gold. There is the local Golden Nuggett saloon that serves hot dogs, hamburgers, french fries, various soft drinks  ice cream cones and ice pops that features live country western music.

Wild West City is open daily from Memorial Day to Labor Day then week-ends thru Columbus Day. They close at 6 p.m. everyday, A small admission around $14 is charged.

Homebrew University

huphoto1 huphoto2 IMG_1090

There is an old song that says, ”Give a cheer, give a cheer for the boys who make the beer in the cellar of Murphy’s saloon.  While not Murphy’s saloon, the new Homebrew University in Hacketstown,N.J. is a place where the boys AND girls  can brew their own  beer.

Founded, owned and operated by Warren Wilson, Homebrew University stems from his idea from brewing his own beer at his home and participating in various home brewing exhibitions.

“I’ve been teaching people for several years in the art of home brewing,” Wilson said recently at an open house for family and friends,” I started in my basement and  I wanted to put something together where I can teach professionally.”  Warren got together with three other people Jessica Guthrie, AJ DiGiovanni, and Francesca DeSena who have turned their combined 40 years in bar and restaurant experience, paired with their own personal enthusiasm, to bring something new and creative to this part. They scoured the area and found a store front that used to be a bicycle shop that went out of business and took it over. Warren and his dad and partners did most of the work and redid it beautifully, “Our intent is to make consumers the brew masters. No matter what the experience level, our team will support individual needs – from tips on recipes, ingredients, technique, equipment and expertise,” Wilson said.

Billed as Warren County’s first home brewing supply store, the store will provide books, lectures, videos and classes for the home brewer to educate and nurture the growing home brewing community. Upon entering the store the customer is met with a warm ambiance  and a large square waist high structure  that contains  white plastic barrels of various beer grains such as rye malt, honey malt, white wheat, oak flake, corn flake and other grains. Aprons and t-shirts with the Homebrew University logo are also available.

The walls are beautifully decorated with various sized beer bottles and other  beer  related designs, items and features.

Further in the store there is a TV lounge with plush, cushy comfortable chairs with a wide screen TV for viewing videos and regular TV. Today the home brewing industry of beer and wines extremely popular and legitimate and is no longer restricted to hillbillies in the Ozarks.

Homebrew University is located at 160 main Street in Hackettstown, N.J. Their website is and can also be found at

The Three Clowns

As the Gary Lewis and the Playboys song goes,  ”Everybody laughs at a clown so why not you?” Can’t anybody take a joke anymore? This is another case of Political Correctness run amok. Our first clown is none other than the richest women in the world Oprah Winfrey. Oprah was in Switzerland attending the wedding of her friend singer Tina Turner. She walked into an upscale trendy boutique to buy a handbag. According to Oprah, she asked to see as handbag that cost $35,000 and the sales clerk told her “you can’t afford that” and proceeded to show her other bags. Oprah walked out and went right to the media complaining  of discrimination. The sales women was so upset and had a different story. I believe her from all my years in retail. The sales clerk said she didn’t recognize Oprah which I can believe since I’ve seen pictures of Oprah off camera with hair pulled back,  no make-up and dressed down and I wouldn’t recognize her either. Besides, who in Switzerland expects Oprah to walk in there? The saleswoman said she speaks English, but not all that well. She said she showed Oprah several handbags one which his exactly like the one Oprah wanted to see. She said to Oprah,  ”This one is exactly like  that one and I have several others I can show you too.” This is exactly like I was taught to sell and push sales. She said that’s when Oprah walked out and wasn’t even in the store ten minutes.

After Oprah went to the media it was reported everywhere. So much so that the store apologized and Oprah said no need to apologize and then told the media she was sorry she said that and it all got out of hand. Problem is O’s full of it. What did she think was going to happen when she went on national TV and cried racism? The media was just going to ignore that??

This isn’t the first time Oprah has lashed out with race baiting comments. She was one of the first to blame George Bush for Katrina’s mess in the predominantly black area of New Orleans and she more recently came out comparing the Travon Martin case to Emmitt Till which there is no comparison and now charging the store with racism and discrimination only to apologize afterwards.

The second clown is the now famous rodeo clown. At a Missouri rodeo a clown came out wearing an Obama mask and asked the crowd if they’d like to see  Obama get hit by a bull. Well this didn’t fare too well with the left at all. “How dare he insult our messiah,” they must have privately said to themselves. The local NAACP asked the DOJ and FBI to investigate the clown and he was forced to attend sensitivity training. The announcer and rodeo president caved and resigned. This is all madness and preposterous. Every president has had masks of them dating back to Reagan and criticized them. Part of being president is having the media and public poke fun at you. George Bush was criticized more than any of his predecessors and he took it all with a smile. Every rodeo has used presidential masks  in  their events with bulls ramming them ,but because it’s Obama “Ohh Nooo you can’t do that.” Once again his supporters are showing judgmental behavior based on the color of his skin just like when they voted for him. Martin Luther King must be turning in his grave.  This whole incident is so absurd and ridiculous. Rush Limbaugh had it right when he said today on his radio show, It is as though President Obama is a messiah or is a god and this little thing that happened at the Missouri State Fair is a defamation, a denunciation, almost a religious sacrilege that took place,” Rush Limbaugh said Wednesday. “This is no different than those countries reacting freakishly when there were cartoons of the prophet Muhammad. That is exactly what this is. He’s the president of the United States! They get made fun of! They get laughed at all the time!  Fun is poked at ‘em,” Limbaugh stressed. “I know this happens to be the first African-American one, but that should not insulate this president from standard, ordinary, everyday treatment, analysis, whatever. You know, you people on the left, who the hell do you think you are? You can’t laugh. You can’t take a joke. You can’t take a punch. You can’t take anything.”

The third clown is Obama of course a he flips  and flops his way thru his presidency at the people’s expense laughing all the way as he disregards our constitution. Any white politician would be a joke, Bush and Reagan, along with the others laughed at themselves, even when Bush was depicted as a chimp, Reagan in the movie with a chimp. Obama simply doesn’t want to be compared to a “clown,” but in reality, Obama is worse than a clown, and far more dangerous as we can see he is trying to “transform” America into a 4th rate Socialist/ Communist nation. As the rodeo clown so aptly stated “I know I’m a clown, Obama is running around the country acting like a clown, but doesn’t know he is one.”

Clowns ordered to 'sensitivity training'...
Announcer, Rodeo President Resign...
'I know I'm a clown, Obama just running around acting like one, doesn't know he is one'...
'It's entertainment'...
NAACP: DOJ, Secret Service Should Investigate...

Who’s Really On The Run? Al Queda or America?

When George Bush was president, the left accused him of making terrorism up to look strong. I think Obama is doing the same thing with closing all these embassies. He is truly a wimp and an embarrassment with closing them instead of supplying stronger security like  what was requested, but denied in Benghazi.  Obama used to say Al Queda was on the run after Bin Laden was killed, but now it’s we who are on the run. Bush would never have done this.  Other countries like Russia and China are seeing this and thumbing their noses at us and perceive us to be weak. They (The Obama administration) say chatter was greater than 9/11, but won’t say what the chatter said. Now as a precaution against what happened in Benghazi they are closing all the embassies in the Middle East and bringing people home. If nothing happens they can say we avoided another Benghazi, even though as we know Benghazi was a “phony   scandal.” Obama is a phony president.Obama also thinks there are 57 states and Hawaii is in Asia. I don’t see how anyone can think that that is OK. He is less than informed on the economy and his muslim sympathies are real.

With our inaction in Benghazi, terrorists now know they can have their way with us. An American president has to be feared and respected. Obama and Hillary are neither. They both failed miserably and are making the Middle East more dangerous than ever. America needs a strong president with a backbone and track record of success now more than ever. No more  empty  suit rock stars as president. One of the key jobs of the POTUS is to protect it’s citizens at home and abroad. I find it very disconcerting that we have a POTUS who tells us daily how he will solve absolutely everything we need in regards to: healthcare, job growth, green energy, global warming, education, national indebtedness, solving racial issues, and “phony scandals”. But nary a firm committed plan of action on how he will handle atrocities at home or abroad. It’s always “We’ll discuss it and make a decision AFTER we have all of the facts in”.

Defund Obamacare Now.The Death Panels Are Real!!!

Obamacare image  angry-obamaObamacare image

It’s gonna be a big heart breaker / Grandma needs a new pacemaker/

And the doctor says I realize she’s ill / But there’s been some legislation/

On all our medications / and all we can do is put her on a pain pill.

                                                             Ray Stevens –“We the People”

One of the provisions in Obamcare is that your doctor will have to refer to a 15 member panel who will decide what procedure and treatment you will get. Those panels are now being formed as you read this. Everything in Obamcare is based on cost effectiveness vs. your average age span. Keep in mind that Kathleen Sebelius is the head of HHS now and will be one of the heads in Obamacare. She is the one that refused to let that little girl who needed the lungs have them saying “Some people live and some people die.” That should give you a clue what to expect. Fortunately Sebelius was overruled by a panel of judges and the girl got the lungs and is doing fine.

When Sarah Palin went public about the so called “death panels” she was admonished in the media of course. Well then they should take a note from one of their own, former DNC head Howard Dean who is also a doctor. In a 2009 edition of the Wall Street Journal Dean commented on the Independent Advisory Board (IPAB) saying, ”The IPAB is essentially a healthcare rationing body by setting doctor reimbursement rates for medicine and determining which procedure and drugs will be covered and at what price. The IPAB will be able to stop certain treatments its’ members do not favor by simply setting rates to levels where no hospital or doctor will perform them.”

He’s admitting that 1) rationing exists 2) they have the authority to stop treatments and 3) This shows that we were all mislead by Obamacare because Obama said death panels would not exist. The CBO said 30 million will not be insured after Obama said everyone would be insured.  He said rates would go down which is not true. Rates are going up in several states already as much as 150% Even Teamster head Jimmy Hoffa Jr.  said Obamacare will ruin the 40 hr. work week as more and more companies are switching to part time . Currently there are more part time jobs than full time jobs.

Another reason o defund Obamacare is that Obama said it would cost 900 billion and it already is costing 3 trillion plus. We are living beyond our means. Let’s face it. We were sold a pack of lies. Once you implement it you can’t repeal it. Everything we were told is turning out not to be true from the cost of it to the fact you can keep your insurance. Also all our records will go in one government computer. Now with all the NSA and IRS snooping, the gov’t will have access to all our health records not to mention all the hackers that are out here.

This whole idea of Obamacare is to get us into socialized medicine. Obama and his cronies don’t care about who has what healthcare. It is all about power. Once you control healthcare you control the people. Doctors are already threatening to close down their practices.

Hospitals that spend the least on Obamacare will get bonuses so if you are a senior of a  certain   age past the average lifespan you won’t get that procedure.

Here are a few actual facts how Obamacare is already negatively affecting the country:

So far it has cost 12 billion dollars to delay the employer mandate. You know they are worried when Obama has asked to delay the mandate.

There has been a 45.3 % increase in the cost of Obamacare since March of 2010.

There has been an 11.2% average increase in premiums since Obamacare was passed and he said costs would come down.

The president plans to spend $684 million dollars to promote Obamacare.

There are 20,000 new pages of regulations in Obamacare.

Companies are now laying off and cutting their employees back to part time because of Obamcare.  America is creating a disincentive to hire people when we need jobs now.

Four out of five families are now in poverty and 9 million jobs have been lost under Obama.

Obama’s policies have done great harm to the country. The Constitution gives the power of the purse to the House. If the House continues to fund it, House members are effectively voting in favor of Obamacare. The division of the Republicans is the reason WHY Obama keeps forging ahead with his agenda. At this point in time, the only way to stop Obama is impeachment. However, when Republicans are faced with that idea, they refuse to discuss the possibility. They make excuses for why it can’t be done.

Below are a few questions and answers, excuses and responses about Obamcare.

“What do you mean by defunding Obamacare?”

Defunding Obamacare means attaching a legislative rider to a “must pass” bill (debt limit, annual spending bill, etc.) that 1) prohibits any funds from being spent on any activities to implement or enforce Obamacare; 2) rescinds any unspent balances that have already been appropriated for implementation; and 3) turns off the exchange subsidy and new Medicaid spending that are on auto-pilot.

“There is no such thing as defunding Obamacare.”

That is a false statement.  Congressmen who assert this are either asserting that funding is not being spent to implement Obamacare (false) or that a defund amendment cannot technically be executed (again, false).  Defunding Obamacare can be done, and it has been attempted by the House of Representatives recently.  For instance, in 2011, after gaining the majority, the Republican House included such a defunding provision on the continuing spending resolution (HR 1) when the bill first passed the House.  The provision was later discarded in negotiations with the President and the Senate, but the effort began with promise.

What is the urgency to defund Obamacare now?”

On January 1, 2014, Obamacare’s new main entitlements—the Medicaid expansion and the exchange subsidies—are  scheduled to take effect.  Open enrollment for both programs begins on October 1, 2013, at the start of the new fiscal year.  According to the Congressional Budget Office (CBO), the federal government will spend $48 billion in 2014—and nearly $1.8 trillion through 2023—on these new entitlement programs.  Also on January 1, Americans will be forced by their government to buy a product—health insurance—for the first time ever.  Individuals and families who don’t comply will be penalized by tax penalties administered through the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).  The Obama Administration has requested over $400 million in funding and nearly 2,000 bureaucrats for the IRS to implement the individual mandate and 46 other statutory provisions in the law.  Within the Administration, the blizzard of Obamacare rules and regulations continues apace.  Regulators have now written over 20,000 pages of Obamacare-related rules and notices in the Federal Register.  Many of these regulations will increase the cost of insurance; CBO concluded Obamacare would raise individual health insurance premiums by $2,100 per year.

Isn’t defunding Obamacare impossible because most of the funding is ‘mandatory’ (or on ‘auto-pilot’) and cannot be amended via the annual appropriations process?”

No.  According to the nonpartisan Congressional Research Service (CRS), the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the IRS, “will incur substantial administrative costs to implement the law’s private insurance reforms and its changes to the federal health care programs.”  And while Obamacare provided $1 billion in mandatory implementation funding when it was enacted, HHS projects that this is largely spent.  According to CRS, Obamacare “administrative costs will have to be funded through the annual discretionary appropriations.”  Furthermore, annual appropriations bills routinely carry funding limitations to block all sorts of activities (for example, the Hyde Amendment), as well make changes to mandatory spending.  These latter provisions are called “changes in mandatory program spending” (CHIMPS).  Even if these riders were not so common-place, the stakes of so many provisions of Obamacare scheduled to take effect would present grounds for an exception.

Ray Stevens – We The People (Live) – YouTube    Unfortunately we didn’t vote congress out of there like Ray sings here. 😦

The people who put out the Obamcare survival guide have put together a video of what’s in Obamcare. It’s not pretty .Check it out here: You absolutely have to  watch  this!!
